Carmen Grant – President
Carmen is originally from Monterey, CA. She has been in Oak Harbor for over two years with her husband and her two little boys. Prior to Oak Harbor she was at Eglin AFB anxiously awaiting EOD school to be over. She has written the FRG newsletter for the past year and looks forward to continuing the new tradition and passing it on, as well as building an informational website for the command that can translate over to EODMU-11 San Diego. She volunteers as a caseworker at the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, and is studying to become an Accredited Financial Counselor through a fellowship from the National Military Family Association. Lois Kahle – Vice President
Lois was raised outside of Philadelphia, PA. Her husband, Christian, joined MU11 In July of 2007. She has worked as a hairstylist/make-up artist for 10 years before entering the world of commercial banking as an implementation specialist and database administrator. Now, she enjoys volunteering for the FRG. Lois’s priority is to support her husband and military family. Ilana Stice – Secretary/Treasurer
Ilana is originally from Los Angeles, CA. She has been in Oak Harbor for over two years with her husband Chief Stice, the Maintenance Shop Supervisor. This is their second EOD command, and admits it is by far the best. Other places she has been stationed are Port Hueneme, CA, San Diego, CA and Gulport, MS. She has been involved with other FRG’s in the past and plans to use her experience to help with the new leadership. She is currently interning at the Public Defenders Office in Coupeville as a Paralegal. She plans on getting hired on soon. She has no human children, but her dog Butch is her full time child. She loves to garden and take pictures of wildlife. The Pacific Northwest is a great place in her opinion because coffee is her vice and there is plenty to go around.
